Features
- Protects timber from water damage
- For Decking and External Timbers
- Allows wood to breathe and weather naturally over time.
Fixing
Application:
- Ensure that the decking timbers are completely dry and free from any dust, dirt, lichen, oil etc prior to application
- Remove all existing loose and flaking stains
- Do not use detergents to clean down the substrate
- A test patch is always recommended, prior to use to ensure desired result is achieved
- Do not apply in wet conditions or if rain or frost is likely before the product is completely dry
- Pour Decking Sealer into a suitable container
- Apply liberally 2 coats leaving 24 hours between coats using a brush, roller or low pressure spray
- Very porous timber may require a third coat
- On horizontal timber decking remove puddling by redistributing to dry areas after 15 minutes
- Do not spray on any form of vegetation, protect plants and surrounding areas from overspray
- Ensure adequate ventilation when applying Decking Sealer
- Should be applied at temperatures above 5 degrees c
Technical specification
Cleaning Of Tools
- Brushes etc. can be cleaned using White Spirit. Remove as much Decking Sealer as possible before cleaning.
Coverage
- Coverage will vary dependent upon the properties of the substrate, but a guideline coverage will be 6-8m/2 per litre.
Drying Time
- The drying time will vary depending on the ambient temperature, climate conditions and porosity of the timber, but an average would be approximately 24 hours.
Shelf Life
- Approx 12 months if stored correctly
